dcon sparrow (project)

To add a bit of 'zing' to the Art 300 Metaproject the group voted on the 'most sophisticated' project. The winner was Ronen Goldstein's "Constructing or Deconstructing the Sparrow". He won a highly unsophisticated Loch Ness Monster hat I brought from Scotland.
Ronen's project subverts (or ignores) the rules of the project system since he has used modelling to achieve his final result. However, the 'sophistication' of the project obviously made that irrelevant in the peer review.
Ronen is doing a lot of stuff. Check one of his blogs and his experimental-electro-folk music on his myspace page.

About

I am exploring a hybrid form of art and design practice through the use of computer-based design and fabrication tools. I am interested in experimental objects and spaces that are dynamic and responsive and seek to challenge perceptions, expectations and established behavior.
